Evolution is a project designed to challenge young people's attitudes about crime and change negative lifestyles.

The programme is different from other anti-nuisance initiatives, in that it engages with youngsters at an early stage to prevent them from going down the wrong path in life. The project involves prison visits and education to deter youths involved in anti-social or criminal behaviour from their current lifestyle. It also aims to dispel all the myths about what prison life is like.

More than 60 youngsters from across St Helens have now taken part in the project with around 75% either going back into full time education, volunteering or gaining employment.
