Estate Walkabouts
Helena pride themselves in building stronger and more vibrant communities through working in partnership with local agencies, authorities and those at the very heart of our neighbourhoods - you, the residents.
We encourage you to get involved with us so we can help to improve the appearance of your neighbourhoods. Our regular estate walkabouts provide opportunities for you to have your say, and give us a chance to listen to your wants and needs so we can help you to make positive changes for the future on our estates.
The walkabouts allow you to team up with other local residents, Helena staff and partners in a tour of your neighbourhood, and voice any worries on issues such as litter, repairs and anti-social behaviour. You will have the chance to speak to directly to staff, and point out any matters that cause you concern. All comments will be listened to, and we will then discuss what action needs to be taken before helping you to make the necessary improvements in your area.
Helena values your input, and make sure all issues identified on the walkabouts are addressed. While not all of the issues will be Helena's responsibility, our partnerships with local agencies - such as the Fire Service, Police and St Helens Council - allow us to make sure all concerns are fed back to the appropriate people or organisations.
By getting involved in the walkabouts, you can help to shape the changes in your neighbourhood and make a real difference. The walkabouts are an important aspect of Helena's commitment to involving residents, and those who are already involved find having their ideas and opinions heard very rewarding.
If you would like to get involved, all you need to do is contact your local community officer, and tell them you would like to attend. Details and dates of the next estate walkabouts - along with contact information - can be found under the 'Events' section, or in the 'What's On' guide in your latest edition of Headlines.
