How we are run

Governance is all about how an organisation like Helena is run and held to account.

Good governance ensures that effective systems, policies and procedures are in place, and that we are working for the benefit of all our customers and to the highest standards.

To find out more about our structure click on the details below:

From 1 April 2015 Helena and Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) came together to form a new housing group called Torus.

Day-to-day your landlord stays the same; but by being part of Torus it allows us to make an even bigger difference to our customers, our neighbourhoods, the services we provide, and the region as a whole.

Executive Management Team

The Executive Management Team runs the overall strategic direction and operational activities of the Torus group. To find out more about the team click here

Torus Common Purpose Board

The Torus Common Purpose Board is made up on seven independent board members, one local authority representative from St Helens and Warrington and the Group Chief Executive.  To find out more click here.

Management Team

The Management Team looks after the day-to-day running of Helena. Led by Angela Perry, our Managing Director of Operations, she is supported by a team of three:

  • Gill Healey, Group Head of Social Investment
  • Nora Wade, Group Head of Neighbourhoods
  • Fiona Graham, Group Head of Service Delivery

Tenants and Communities Committee (TCC)

The Tenants and Communities Committee (TCC) ensure that policies and services are developed in a way that reflects the needs of tenants, communities and Helena as a business.

They work closely with the Value Improvement Panel and collaboratively with our Board and Management Team along with officers and other partners to ensure your views are taken into account.
