Our people support

At Helena we want to help all our customers find ways of managing the problems they face.

No matter what your age or circumstance we will do all we can to provide extra help, or through our work with a growing number of organisations support you in getting to the right specialist service.

Community based support

The Helena community team provides a range of additional support over the telephone, face to face or by home appointment.

Available Monday to Thursday 9:00am – 5:30pm and Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm, contact Helena to find out more.

Young people

At Helena we work with lots of young people who have been referred to us and who may be struggling to manage. This may be because you have previously lived in care, are new parents or have other support needs such as a physical disability, depression or a drug or alcohol problem.

Whatever the reason, we will provide practical support that helps you get on your feet.

We have specialist short term accommodation available for under 25’s at Appleton Road which consists of 52 one-bedroom flats close to St Helens town centre. As well as providing safe, furnished and affordable accommodation, Helena and our partners can help and support you with everything from managing money to finding volunteering, training and employment opportunities.

Once we receive your housing application the team will automatically contact you to discuss further and identify areas you may need support with. Apply for housing with Helena through Under One Roof.

Older peoples services

At Helena we offer all our customers who are aged over 55 a range of short and long-term care support.

Whatever your needs, we understand that you value your independence and can help you choose the right care for you.

Domestic violence

We believe nobody should live in fear of abuse or violence from a spouse, partner or any other member of their household.

At Helena we operate a 24 hour helpline so you can speak to someone straight away by telephoning 01925 220541.

Our team can also help you access safe emergency accommodation if you are seeking refuge and need to leave your home quickly and safely. We also provide a range of community based services that will help you stay in your home safely, as we would always look at this as the first option.
